Preview: Farmingdale - DII Home Opener on Saturday

The Farmingdale State Rams DII hockey team opened their season with a long stretch of road games. The Rams found fast success amidst this stretch, amassing a 7-1 record. The team now gets the support of their fans as they begin play on home ice this weekend. At their home opener on Saturday night, they'll be facing the Fairfield University Stags DIII team. 

The 2023-24 season marks the first for the Fairfield DIII team. They lost each of their first two games and will be playing in the second game of a back-to-back when they visit Farmingdale. Anthony DeFillio leads the team with four points, with Ryan Bernardi and Jack Hitchcock tied for the team lead in goals with two each. The game will take place at Islanders Iceworks and can also be viewed on LiveBarn.
