Weekend Preview: Farmingdale - DII Hosts Hofstra and Fairfield

The Farmingdale State Rams Division II hockey team will be playing in two home games this weekend. On Friday, they'll host the Hofstra Pride Division III for their second meeting of the season. The Pride are led by Matthew Materazo, who's 25 points rank third amongst the Division III AAU ranks. Materazo and James Van Eron are tied for the lead in goals with 10 each, with Jordan Cox also pitching in 18 points. The Rams managed to keep the Pride offense quiet in their first meeting, taking a 4-1 victory. Farmingdale will be looking to win their sixth straight game against Hofstra dating back to last season. The game will take place at Islanders Iceworks at 9:30 p.m. and can be viewed on LiveBarn. 

On Saturday, the Rams will take on the Fairfield University Stags Division III team for the first time this season. Playing in their inaugural season, Fairfield got their first victory against Sacred Heart by a 6-2 final score in their most recent contest. Ryan Bernardi and Jack Hitchcock have three goals each of the Stags, with Hitchcock having a team-leading four points. The game will take place at Islanders Iceworks at 9:30 p.m. and can be viewed on LiveBarn.
